Time to get crafty with some DIY fall decor 2021 ideas!!
Spooky season is upon us yet again! One of the most wonderful times of year. I can’t wait for the crisp autumn nights to finally arrive.
If you’re anything like me, then you lovveee to get super festive for fall by decorating the house. But fall decorations can sometimes get a little pricey.
Check out these 5 cheap DIY fall decor 2021 ideas to fit your budget so you don’t break the bank!
Paint mason jars
For this, all you need are some mason jars, a little paint, and maybe some twine to wrap around the top. All super inexpensive!
One of my hobbies is candle making, and I use mason jars a lot so these were just extras I had lying around. I know you can get a big pack of mason jars for super cheap at the store, too.
I’ve done plaid, pumpkin colors, and a candy corn pattern on my jars, but really any fall-ish colors will work for this (think maroons, browns, tans, oranges…you get the vibe!).
Make your own signs
This one is for all you Cricut and Silhouette users out there! I made this Pumpkin Patch sign with a stencil that I designed and created with my Cricut.
The actual wood sign was purchased in a pack of 4 or 5 on Amazon. It was pretty inexpensive! Then, I just stained the wood, put on my stencil with stencil vinyl, and painted with an off-white paint.
I’ve seen a ton of cute wooden signs on the market, but they are EXPENSIVE. That’s why I prefer to make my own when I can. It’s not nearly as hard as it seems if you know how to use a Cricut or Silhouette!
Use old sweaters or flannels to make pumpkin decor
I love a cute lil sweater pumpkin!!! And they are SO EASY to make! This orange one took me about half an hour and I used materials that I already had at my house.
These little crafts are perfect for me because I am the queen of cozy sweaters and I HATE getting rid of them. Using them and repurposing them for these makes me feel happy.
To make these pumpkins, I used an old sweater sleeve, twine, rubber bands, and dried black beans. This is one of the easiest, quickest, and cutest fall crafts I have done.

Make a mini wreath
Materials for a mini wreath are inexpensive if you look in the right place. Check out the dollar store in the fall to see if they have some leaves, pinecones, or pumpkins.
Even Michael’s has great sales for wreath making materials all the time!
A cute wreath gives off the perfect fall vibe, and it can make your decor that much more cozy!

Make your own fall candle
Everyone loves a great fall scented candle, right?! Candles are the best, and you don’t need to spend $25+ per candle when you learn to make them yourself!
I’ve been making candles for years now, but I can tell you that when I first started I had no clue what I was doing. I honestly thought candle making would be so much harder than it actually is!!! It may seem intimidating, but it’s actually pretty simple and it can help you get that cozy fall vibe you need in your home.
You’ll need some supplies if you want to turn this into a hobby, but there are also easy ways to make candles without too many supplies.
This is definitely a task every crafter and candle-lover should try–it REALLY helps cut down on costs AND you’ll be so excited after you finish your first batch!!
